What we sell, what we disclose, and what is not for sale at any price.

Who reads this

Capital Outpost is read by people who work on financial products rather than people idly browsing them: operators, analysts, founders, compliance staff and journalists covering the sector.

We are a new publication and we will not quote traffic figures we cannot yet substantiate. If you ask for numbers, you will get the real ones with the date attached, or you will be told we do not have them yet. Inflated media-kit statistics are the fastest way to lose a serious advertiser twice.

What is available

  • Display advertising — standard slots, sold programmatically or direct.
  • Sponsored articles — a piece commissioned on a topic you care about, written by us, labelled as paid placement, with sponsor links carrying rel="sponsored".
  • Newsletter sponsorship — a labelled slot in the edition.
  • Category sponsorship — presence across a coverage area for a fixed term, labelled throughout.

Everything paid is labelled in the article itself, above the fold, not only in a policy page. That is not negotiable and it applies to every format.

What is not for sale

Some things cannot be bought here, and saying so up front saves both sides a conversation:

  • Position in a comparison or ranking. Tables are ordered by the published criteria, nothing else.
  • Removal or softening of criticism, including in a Limitations section.
  • Copy approval. Sponsors do not see an article before it publishes and do not sign off on wording.
  • An undisclosed link. Every paid link is marked, in the markup and in the text.
  • A specific rating, score or verdict.
  • Coverage that would require us to assert something we have not verified.

If a campaign depends on any of the above, we are the wrong publication and will say so rather than take the budget.

Why the constraints help you

A finance audience is unusually alert to bought coverage, and a placement that reads as purchased converts badly regardless of how much it cost. The disclosure rules exist because labelled, independent-looking coverage on a site readers trust outperforms unlabelled advertorial on a site they have learned to discount.
