Figures, rates and dates

Pricing, rates, fees, limits and eligibility criteria in financial products change frequently and often without notice. Every figure we publish is read from the provider's own published materials and carries the date it was read, precisely so you can judge how stale it might be.

A dated figure is a record of what was published on that date. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a promise that the same terms are available to you. Always confirm current terms with the provider directly before acting.

Risk

Financial products carry risk. Investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you put in. Credit costs money and missing payments has consequences. Past performance tells you nothing reliable about future results. Products that look similar can behave very differently under stress.

Where a product is covered by a deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme, that protection has limits and conditions. Check them yourself rather than assuming coverage.

Accuracy and corrections

We verify claims against primary sources and publish our method. We still get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct the article and log what changed on our corrections page rather than editing silently.

We make no warranty that the site is complete, current or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on it.
